Introduction of Advisory Board

Advisory Board of Civic Commission for Africa C-CfA

It has consisted of:
- Global African Diaspora Coalition

GLAD is represented by Dr. Emmanuel Argo.
Dr. Argo is President-Founder of GLAD, member of NEPAD CSO Think Tank, representative of the African Diaspora in Europe, and member of the G8 Civil International Advisory Council in Moscow. 

CIVICUS is represented by Mr. Kumi Naidoo, Secretary General of CIVICUS, World Alliance for Citizen Participation.

TICAD Civil Society Forum is represented by Prof. Minoru OBAYASHI, President of the same organization.  He is a developmental economist and dean of Graduate School at Ryukoku University, Kyoto.

We are waiting for one more person (female) to play a role of an advisor of the commission.

The role of Advisory Board is:
(1) to screen the application forms;
(2) to announce acceptance of the organizations to be part of commission member organizations;
(3) to give assignments to candidate organizations to run for elections to be steering committee members;
(4) to feed back some comments to the assignments and "letter of intention" of the candidate organizations for facilitating voting organizations;
(5) to facilitate discussion among commission member organizations (including among steering committee members);
(6) to make suggestion when it is needed.
