1- Information on our organization
Name: NETWORK AFRICA SIA (N2A)
Registration No: 567 / MI / DGAT / DAGP / SDVA
Address: 01 BP 8319 Abidjan 01, Côte d’Ivoire
Telephone: +225 22 41 93 59

Network Africa Asia (N2A) has been established in Côte d'Ivoire (West Africa) in order to promote exchanges with Asian countries. In fact some of the founders have gained experience in Afro–Asian exchanges while studying and working in Japan for many years. Sharing on regular basis their Japanese experience with their former colleagues in Côte d’Ivoire, they have decided to put efforts together in order to positively contribute to African development by assisting individuals, organizations in capacity reinforcement.

Network Africa Asia’s has the advantage to gather several persons with different cultural (Japanese, African) and professional experiences (civil and environmental engineers, project managers, accountant, self employed, volunteers) as founders and staff.

Some of our activities are:
-         To assist Africans and African organizations in building partnerships with their Asian counterparts
-         To organize informal sector and reinforce their capacity to improve their activities
We have realized that though there are efficient at the grass root level, there are still many African organizations are not aware of international exchanges’ advantages. Moreover they do not understand very well why the international aid doesn’t reach them.
Our members are individuals, NGOs, agricultural cooperatives, craftsmen associations, and Civil Organizations.

Our office is well furnished with 24 hours internet connection and 3 computers are connected via LAN, one printer, one scanner a fax and copy machine.
We have 3 permanent staff who are already familiar with the C-CfA concept.

Actually our monthly budget is about 1500 USD that we use as follows:
-         Office rent:               200 USD
-         Communication:           250 USD
-         Travel and Transport :       200 USD
-         Office Maintenance:         50 USD
-         Office supplies:            100 USD
-         Staff:                     600 USD
-         Miscellaneous:             100 USD

Though we are newly established NGO , we are member of most African and International Civil Society Organizations Forums
We have also access to many Japanese CSO Forums and have applied for affiliations in many other international civil society organizations.

Being a Member Organization of the C-CfA will enable us to create a framework for the diffusion of C-CfA related information and at the same time bring their voices to the Commission. This will be done through seminars, workshops, and other events.
The fact that we have participated in the recent processes of the Commission has enabled us to be familiar with the concept and to implement the action plan.

Since the workshop in Nairobi, we are prepared to allocate a large part of the above budget to C-CfA tasks. Moreover, we have prepared a budget 2007-2008 for our future mission as Country based Commission Member.
